Timur Abdikeyev

Twenty-six year old handsome Azerbaijan bass Timur Abdikeyev has been a soloist of the Mariinsky Theatre Young Artist Academy since 2002. In 2005 while on tour with the Mariinsky Theatre in London, Mr. Abdikeyev was promoted to soloist of the Mariinsky Theatre Opera Company.
After receiving his bachelor and masters degree from Gadjibekov Music Academy in Baku, Azerbaijan, Mr. Abdikeyev was invited to the Mariinsky Theatre. Mr. Abdikeyev won the “Daimler-Chrysler” corporation stipend winner in 2002 (St. Petersburg, Russia). Mr. Abdikeyev was a diploma winner in the International Bul competition (2002), the Irina Arkhipova foundation prize winner (2001), and was a finalist in the competition for the Academy of La Scala opera theatre (July-2005).
Mr. Abdikeyev has performed solo concerts in Tokyo’s Suntory-hall (September 2002), Prizenpalais Hall Wolfenbuttel, Germany (May 2005), and the St. Petersburg Philharmonic big hall.
Mr. Abdikeyev has performed the following roles: Zuniga (Carmen), Old Gipsy (Aleko), Don Basilio (Il Barbiere di Siviglia), Il Conte di Ceprano (Rigoletto), Knight (Parsifal), the Imperial Commissioner (Madame Butterfly) and many others.
