
Young soprano Olga Tolkmit has become one of the leading soloists
of the Mikhailovsky theatre in St. Petersburg, Russia. Ms. Tolkmit
was born in Kingisepp near St-Petersburg in 1986. In 2002, she finished
music secondary school and in 2006 St-Petersburg Music College. From
2006 to 2011, she studied at the St. Petersburg State Conservatory,
with a focus in vocal performance
Ms. Tolkmit has been awarded prizes in local and international music
competitions. She has also given solo recitals in Finland, Norway,
Italy, and Germany.
In 2010, Ms. Tolkmit became a soloist of Mikhailovsky opera and
ballet theatre. In 2011 made my debut as Mimi “La Boheme” and
for this portrayal was nominated for best operatic actress in the
Russian National Award Festival “Golden Mask.”
Ms. Tolkmit also performs the following roles at the Mikhailovsky
Theatre: Tatiana “Eugene Onegin”, Prilepa “Pique
Dame”, Iolanta “Iolanta” and Nedda “Pagliacci.” |
