
Mikhail Kolelishvili vaulted on to the International
Opera stage as a finalist in the 2005 International BBC Cardiff Singer
of the World Competition and winner of the 2003 Elena Obraztsova
competition.
Mr. Kolelishvili graduated from Tbilisi V.Saradjishvili
State Conservatory with a Master’s Degree and has been a soloist
of the Mariinsky Theatre Academy since 2000. Other
prestigious awards garnered by Mr. Kolelishvili include:
Laureate of Republic Vocal Competition Tbilisi,
Georgia (1999)
Diploma and prize-winner of the Fifth International
competition of the young opera singers of Rimsky-Korsakov (2002)
Fifth international competition of vocalists named
by S.Monyushko Warsaw, Poland First prize Laureate of the competition
and the prize of the best bass named by Adam Didur (2004)
Grand Prix recipient of the Prince Renee III Grand
Prix of the Monte-Carlo World voice masters June 2008.
Recently, Mr. Kolelishvili sang Leporello “Don
Giovanni” with Opera Nacional de Mexico; Isaac Mendoza “Khovanshchina” with
Opera Toulouse and Opéra Comique Paris, Varlaam “Boris
Godunov” with Dallas Opera and Il Re “Aida” at
Orange, France.
Future
contracts include Titurel “Parsifal” with Dallas Symphony,
Varlaam “Boris Godunov” with Israeli Opera and Tsar Dodon “Golden
Cockerel” with Den Nye Opera.
