Dmitry Lavrov

Winner of the Emmerich Smola Förderpreis 2011

In 2008, Mr. Lavrov completed postgraduate studies at the St. Petersburg Conservatory (solo singing, professor Vladimir Vaneev).

From 2007-2009, Mr. Lavrov was a soloist of Saint-Petersburg Opera. In 2008, he was awarded 2nd prize at international vocal competition named after Shtokolov(Saint-Petersburg)

In 2009, Mr. Lavrov won the first prize in the Irina Bogachov International voice competition in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Performed Roles

Mr. Lavrov joins the young artist scholarship program at Oper am Rhein 2010-2011, moving to full FEST contract 2011-2012.   This season at Oper am Rhein Mr. Lavrov sings Figaro “Il Barbiere di Siviglia”, Silvio “I Pagliacci” and Conte “Le Nozze di Figaro.”

Future independent contracts include Don Pizarro “Fidelio” and Prince Afron “Golden Cockerel” with Den Nye Opera.
